The all new VAKKO ecommerce site. Visual explorations. Another BUBAGO GROUP and UPD collaboration.
VAKKO has been in the luxury retail market for 75 years and is considered a pioneering force of Turkish and European fashion. With the growth of e-commerce in Turkey, our goal was to create a luxury shopping experience to accompany the VAKKO brand and serve as a tool for existing and future customers.
VAKKO wanted a shopping experience that would appeal to a younger audience in addition to their existing 40 plus age demographic given the statistic that much of the country’s digital shopping fell within a younger target audience.
We initiated a creative brief to determine who their customer was, what their goals were, and how they wanted their brand to be perceived online. Using this information, we initiated a plan to integrate new technology and update their look while maintaining the integrity of the brand. VAKKO required a new user interface as well, so we worked to ensure our plan incorporated this objective as well.
VAKKO wanted a site that would enhance their online presence and show an actionable result of increase in sales with their current and potential consumer base. Their current platform was difficult to navigate, and although showed brand value, was not sufficient in converting user traffic into transaction and purchase of items. The existing platform served as more of a look book showcasing VAKKO and its brands. Our job was to fuse the brand with a system of monetization that was easy for the customer and prompted transaction. To attract a younger audience, social media was integrated into the platform. For customers wanting a more personalized e-shopping experience, the option to schedule a fitting or speak to a stylist was applied. In addition, customers would be able to keep a wish list of items in their personal account. A system of checkout that connected with the user’s bank was applied and front-end development was implemented to connect with VAKKO’s current integration system.
